Which to some is a shock,
You understand me if you are concerned
You know my heart too well

You know the pain and agony
That causes me to write
You know my mind set
You know my emotions

But you who don't,
Look back and see
Look into my past and understand,
It's always the same boy
And my lovesick heart

Poetry is my escape
The way I let things out of the bottle
The way I let out my deepest feelings
The feelings of a lost love.

Poetry From the HeartMy poetry comes from the heart,
It flows through my body
It enters my fingers and hands
And then to my pen.

My pen that swirls and squiggles
All my heart's secrets,
All my heart's desires.

My heart could write forever,
Twisting my feelings into words,
But it eventually stops,
And my heart quiets for a time,
No longer screaming for attention.

The words no longer flow,
And I can go on with my life.

You treat me like some new toy,
you love me and care for me,
you make me feel such joy,
to be loved and cared for is all I want,
To be held for all eternity.

But then you missplaces me,
Off in somoe dark corner to be forgotten,
But for a little while you miss me,
you think about me and wish you could find me,
But you forget me
And I feel like I'll never be found.

But then one day you find me,
you cherish me for the day then put me on the shelf,
the shelf for old toys,
the ones you no longer love
to be wasted away and forgotten

you treat me like a new toy
